Apple’s WWDC keynote on Monday focused on video games with a new game mode and special guest.
Game Mode is a feature coming to MacOS 14 Sonoma, the company’s latest operating system for desktops and MacBooks, first announced at WWDC on Monday. The new mode prioritizes CPU and GPU cycles during gaming and doubles the Bluetooth sampling rate to lower controller and speaker latency. There will also be a new toolkit that will make it easier for developers to port their games to the Mac.
