Jacky Oh, a former cast member of the improv comedy show “Wild N’ Out,” has died at the age of 32, a BET Media Group spokesperson said in a statement Thursday.
Jacky, whose real name is Jacklyn Smith, first appeared on the show in 2014. She was the longtime partner of the Wild N’ Out alum and DC YouTube Personality Young Flyand they have three children together.
TMZ reported Smith died in Miami on Wednesday. His cause of death has not been disclosed.
In a tweet from the Wild N’ Out account, a BET spokesperson called her a “family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed.”
“Jacky Oh was a dear friend and beloved colleague of the cast of Wild N’ Out for five seasons,” the spokesperson added in a tweet. “More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children. BET Media Group extends our deepest condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon and all the friends who have loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time. time.”
Many of Smith’s social media posts featured her and DC Young Fly’s two young daughters, Nova and Nala, and their son Prince, who was born last year. One of his final videos it showed them sleeping together on a couch.
Tributes began pouring in for the MTV star, who was also a model and ran a lip gloss business. Cardi B posted a photo of Jacky Oh with hers and her children to her Instagram Stories and captioned the image, “My heart ached for those beautiful babies.”
The artist Meek Mill tweeted condolences “PRAYERS TO THE DC YOUNG FLY BRO AND HIS FAMILY,” the rapper wrote.
