Lyricist Cynthia Weil, who with her husband Barry Mann was one half of one of the most successful songwriting teams in New York’s legendary Brill Building, and who wrote or co-wrote hits for the likes of Neil Diamond, Linda Ronstadt and Lionel Richie, died in June. On January 1, 2023, she at 82 years old.
