D-backs Zach Garren accidentally kills bird with pregame throw


OAKLAND, Calif. — Arizona Diamondbacks pitchers aspire to be like Randy Johnson.

Zach Garren accidentally came close to imitating the Hall of Famer.

As he warmed up in the outfield before Arizona’s game in Oakland on Wednesday, Garen threw a curveball It hit a bird in flight, apparently killing it.

The pitch was captured by cameras at the Diamondbacks’ broadcaster, Ballysports Arizona.
